About Me

I am a Chinese-Venezuelan international student majoring in Mechanical Engineering at Boston University. Ever since I was a child, I have dreamed of starting my own company in…not sure yet. However, what I am certain of is that I want to ideate and create a product that is practical and accessible to customers.

In my time at BU, I have embarked on a journey to learn what is necessary to achieve my goals, primarily the principles of good product design, the processes involved to go from ideation to production, and the fundamentals of manufacturing and what it takes to scale from one to a million. Concurrently, I have been honing my communication skills through filmmaking and interacting with both professors and students at work. I am constantly gaining more experience on the machine shop at EPIC (Engineering Product Innovation Center) and learning to ask the right questions to solve the challenges of deigning and manufacturing/assembling projects.

However, not everything is all engineering. With my filmmaking skills that date back to my sophomore year of high school, I joined the BU Productions crew at BU Today in Fall 2021 to produce quality video content that is viewed by thousands of readers and viewers of the university’s news and social media sites. In my leisure time, I dedicate my time to clubs and sports. I create content that brings together the Chinese community at BU via my Digital Media Chair position at the Chinese Student Association. I also like to play volleyball recreationally in classes and intramurals, and do bodyweight workouts to keep in good physical condition.
